The Annual Concert of DPS BARRA and DPS Kidwai Nagar “UMANG 2023” was organized by DPS Barra, Kanpur on 2nd December’23.

Mrs. Saumya Pandey, the Additional Labour Commissioner of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh was the chief guest of the occasion. Mrs. Bandana Misra, Pro-Vice Chairperson and Mr.Alok Misra, Founder, DPS Barra and DPS Kidwai Nagar were the guest of Honour. Mr. Devavrata Misra, Member Managing Committee, Mrs. Rachna Mohotra, Director DPS Kanpur, Mrs.Shilpa Manish, Principal DPS Azaad Nagar graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. Umang-2023 commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries.

Principal, DPS Barra, Mrs. Jayanti Mitra, extended a warm welcome to the guests and dignitaries and presented the Annual School Report.
Umang-2023 showcased Aarambh – ‘Towards the New Journey.’

In order to seek divine blessings, the students performed “Ganesh Vandana”a mark of reverence to the Lord Ganesh in the classical dance form and gave the evening a divine feeling.

The ‘School Choir’ took the audience on a melodious journey. To keep the magical mood alive and to celebrate the childlike spirit the ‘Dreamers ‘of DPS Barra took everyone to the’ Dreamland.’

The school ‘Orchestra’ presented the musical talent which was full of energy and left a magical effect on the audience.

The students of DPS Barra displayed their sports skills in ‘Achievers’ with immense enthusiasm. The talented students of DPS Kidwai Nagar showcased their exceptional skills in ‘Aerobics’ and gave message to keep our body fit and active.

The students demonstrated Raudra Ras in ‘Durga Puja’ by showing ‘Mahishasur Vadh’ .They also illustrated celebration of the festival and immersion of ‘Shakti Swaroopa’ Goddess Durga.

The students of DPS Kidwai Nagar presented a melodious and energetic musical performance in ‘Orchestra’. They also aroused the emotion of patriotism and love for country in the audience by their performance ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.The students of class VI presented ‘Dharamkshetra’. They expreesed the relevance of quote ‘victory of goodness over evil.’ Ravana Vadh’was demonstrated by Lord Rama.Students of DPS Kidwai Nagar took the audience to a spiritual world by presenting ‘Shiv Vivah.’

The exceptionally talented senior students presented ‘Udaan’.They affirmed the role of determination and perseverance for ‘dreams come true’. The tiny tots of DPS Kidwai Nagar expressed their innocence and childhood fun in ‘Barbie.’

The students of DPS Kidwai Nagar presented the richness of culture and heritage in ‘Sufi Katthak’, classical dance.
